Uniting Black Culinary Professionals

Black Chefs Matter is more than a mere social club. It is a place where African American culinary professionals and creatives can converge, share ideas, thoughts, strategy for business and a certain camaraderie. This is the place where we BUILD the table, not merely ask for a seat at someone else's. We are primed to create our own opportunities through networking and sharing with our fellow creatives.

We strive to promote equity and fairness in our arena, and to open doors that have been slammed and locked in our faces. There have been other organizations that have sought to foster the same, but have fallen through, due to a lack of passion and engagement. As for me, I have spent more than half my life in the culinary world, and refuse to give up the fight for my brothers and sisters in arms.

May we hold each other up and accountable. May we build one another and propel the next forward. May we fight the good fight for justice and equality for our life's passion.
